John 14:26 reads,
“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Now our text gives us two insights into what the Holy Spirit does in His role as HELPER...

#1.) The Holy Spirit is here to instruct me in understanding my walk with Christ and

#2.) He's here to remind me of things I've forgotten.

Jesus Christ had been a great teacher of his disciples while He was on earth. In fact they called Him “Rabbi” – which means teacher. (John 1:38)

And there was great honor & recognition of His ability in that title...

5 characteristics of the Holy Spirit as the Helper that will also encourage you are...

#1. The Holy Spirit is a LOVING Helper

#2. The Holy Spirit is a FAITHFUL Helper

#3. The Holy Spirit is a WISE Helper

4. The Holy Spirit is an ACTIVE Helper

#5. The Holy Spirit is an EVER-PRESENT Helper

The Message Bible says it this way:
“I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us."

God did not call your name to abandon you in the wilderness. He sent you a Helper to be with you forever.

A man had a hundred sheep – yet one night one of them was not to be found. So what did the man do? Did he say, “Ninety nine is enough.”? No!

He left the ninety nine to search for the one that was missing. He searched high and low and He didn't give up his search until the lost one was found.

And when He found it – He rejoiced over it. In fact he went around to his friends and told them the good news – and invited them to rejoice with him.

The Holy Spirit is an ever present helper! He never leaves & He never sleeps... He's the Helper we ALL need...
